“Father & Daughter” “I’ll wait for the Next one” Two good French short films

Just watched a shorts program on Sundance channel.  2 real standouts were “Father & Daughter” by Michael Dudol a wonderful animation about a little girl who goes with her father by bicycle to the river bank.  Her father gets into a boat & never returns.  She goes back until she is an old woman & dies & joins her father who’s boat had capsized.  The other was “I’ll Wait for the Next One” by Philippe Orreindy.  Live action on a subway about a guy who makes an impassioned plea for a new mate to join him at the next stop.  A young woman is so impressed she gets off & he looks at her as the door closes saying, “It’s only a sketch”  Both these are in French with subtitles and both are heart breakers.
