According to nationwide surveys conducted during the first quarter by the Pew Internet & American Life Project, 9 percent of all Internet users have created blogs, or roughly 11 million adults. The survey also found that 25 percent of all Internet users, or 32 million adults, read blogs.
Among all adults, about 6 percent of the population has created a blog and about 16 percent of people read them. Some experts estimate that as many as 5,000 new blogs are created each day.

A leg, still with shoe, and a torso landed in the garden of a New York residence after a South African Airways plane from Senegal approached John F Kennedy airport.
